Big Brother 10 promises to have all new twists, larger variety of ages and a more diverse cast from the point of view of racial background and socio economic standing. I’m still betting on Fans vs Favorites and praying to gawd that Rob and Amber don’t make an appearance. However they might opt for a Reality Veterans vs Reality Newbie edition, that could be cool. What reality stars would be successful in BB? How about Nate from Beauty and the Geek or perhaps Glenn Foster from Fox’s hit reality show “The littlest Groom”. Either way Big Brother 10 is going to rock.

I don't know about this couples bit. It will certainly make for an abbreviated season if two people go each week. Probably a good thing with the writer's strike ended and new scripted shows about to make a comeback.

Sooooo End of Season, thoughts? - spoilers!!

What did ya'll think? I really had been voting for Dick this whole
time. My family was SICK of hearing me say I wanted him to
win. :)
The look on some of the players when they were told about
Eric being America's Player. Jessica's face was so confused.
But bitchy-ass Jen she still couldn't figure out who was so
childish, and no she knows it was American. Not much of a
smirk or anything. Gooood grief I can not stand her.

I'm not shocked to see Dick win over his dd because I think
most of the jury saw her hanging on to dick. On the other
hand, there would not have been much for her to hang on
if she didn't get as many POV's. But then Dick did 3 HOH's
So besides I like Dick, I think they both deserve to be in the
final 2 and win they way they did. Father than daughter.

Any other thoughts???

BB8 - Can't lose the EVEL RATINGS WHORE

Can't believe not much posting going on this summer. CBS has really pulled out all the stops trying to push the Evel Dick controversies to get people to watch. I didn't mind his "bad" or "evil" attitude at first but when he went against his own alliance and rallied for Kail and Jen to be on his side, I thought he was no longer "bad" but just pathetic.
I don't care much for Eric. We are just supposed to like him because he is America's Player. His true colors came out after that airplane banner exposed him as a liar. And really even though Amber is a drama queen that was stupid of him to think he really had something on her and then to tell Dick about it (the fake pregnancy or two (lol) to hold on to a boyfriend).
Anyways, I actually liked Dustin. Usually the gay guys are very annoying and attention whores but Dustin was likeable and pretty smart until putting himself up as a pawn of course. Now who do we root for?? Amber the cry baby? Dick or Daniele the "bad" guys?? Eric "America's Idiot" ?? Jameka (holier than thou)?? I guess that leaves Zach and Jessica. Guess I will root for them unless someone can convince me otherwise.
Hey, the other thing I have been thinking is - aren't the houseguests wondering why there have been no "America's Choice" rewards or anything this year?? Duh the producers should realize they need to keep those in the game to avoid suspicion about Eric.
Ok, love to hear what everyone is thinking.

No one is watching or posting? I must confess that I don't watch the feeds, but I do read about them online. Jen seems to be getting the bad edit, but it also sounds like she might deserve it with her crazy, stalker behavior. Jessica's voice will put me over the edge soon. Holly had the annoying voice too, but at least she was more pleasant to look at.

As for the Coup', Boogie's guess "you reap what you sow" isnt' a phrase I've heard used in the show. It is a common saying but I don't remember BB using it.

I think the winner would be smart to hold off using it this week.

I loved the Veto competition this week. It was so cool that no one could see who was dishing out the punishments to the house and who was reaping the rewards. Could there have been a better game for Mike and Will to play???? I have to admit, their corny phone calls to each other make me laugh everytime. They were so happy with their prizes!! AND THEN to blame Marcellas for taking everything - that Will just never stops thinking. But what was the most ironic was Danielle being locked up while Janelle not only won the VETO but enjoyed the Margarita party - pure Big Brother genius!!!!

Nominations

So as we all know now, Danielle wins HOH and nominates Jedi Janey and James (as the pawn so he can prevent Janelle from winning POV). IMO, this is a very risky strategy that I think may backfire if the nominations remain the same come Thursday night. I don't think James will get more votes than Janey to stay in the house. I will probably be completely wrong, but this is my analysis of the votes:

Howie - Loyal to Janelle over James, especially considering season 6 alliances. He will vote to evict James, who dicked him around last season.

Kaysar - same as Howie. He doesn't trust James. He will also vote to evict James.

Will - he is the true wild-card as no one ever really knows what he is planning. Nonetheless, for the following reasons (and this applies to Boogie as well), I think they vote to evict James.
First, Janelle has already demonstrated to Chilltown that they can manipulate her and she will do their bidding. That makes Janelle a valuable asset to Chilltown. James has not shown any propensity to be manipulated.
Second, Janelle is more trustworthy than James. James has a history of flipping, so James is more dangerous than Janelle to Chilltown.
Third, Janelle has a bigger target on her back than James right now since no one is really gunning for James (the floaters like him and S6 thinks he is still part of the alliance). So James is less likely to be nominated again any time soon. He go could very far if they don't evict him now.
Fourth, Janelle is prettier to look at (Will will probably mention that).
In any event, imo, from a strategic standpoint, it makes a lot more sense for Will to evict the unpredictable James over the in-his-pocket Janelle. So Will should evict James.

Boogie - He will evict James for same reasons as Will.

Chicken George may also vote to evict James. Janelle has been HOH twice and has not gunned for George. James was HOH once and made George his primary target. I can't imagine George is all that supportive of James.

If 4 of those 5 votes go against James (as they should if they are playing smartly), then James will go home if he is still sitting up there next to Janelle on Thursday. Even Marcellas is a wild-card, although he has been quite disloyal to Janey this past week. I think the only guaranteed vote James has is Ericka. So, I am not sure if the Black Widow's plan will execute according to her wishes unless James gets the veto and uses it on himself.

Hidden POV necklace - kind of like last seasons survivor with the hidden immunity idol... If you find it and you're on the block and voted out you can show you have the necklace and the other nominee is instantly gone... or better yet since this is BB Allstars if you find it and use it then the HOH is gone...

Personally, I am a little surprised by them. He kept talking about making a huge statement. I don't think Diane & Nakomis qualifies. Nakomis, maybe. She can be crafty. But Dianne isn't that much of a threat early on. He should have put up Nakomis with Will or Boogie or Jase or Danielle.

Who will win the HOH this week?
Well depending on who stays and who goes this could go a few ways...
If Diane is really in a alliance with Jase and Chill town at this point I could see some people throwing HOH into her direction ... She's out for revenge no matter what she says to anyone .. So if it's a challenge that can be thrown to help someone I see almost everyone in the house throwing it to her (well except BB6 of course) and making her look like the bad guy for the week when she puts up BB6ers
Nak on the other hand you don't know what she's thinking she could go either way with putting people up but I think she'd still go for BB6 but would the others really want to take a chance at letting her have HOH to find out...

How Toni Ferrari is ruling the Big Brother All Star Household

For those of you hooked to Big Brother All Stars, and I know there are fans out there, a name circling the fan forums lately wasn’t one you might have expected to hear.

Toni Ferrari.

Yes, a name you’ve heard out there in reality tv land but associated with shows like Kill Reality or Love Cruise. Why would her name be associated with the current season of Big Brother?

She’s friends with some of the houseguests
She is the former roommate of one of the houseguests
She has possibly masterminded one of the greatest takeovers/alliances in reality tv history and she’s not even on the show
I’ll address each issue one by one. First, she is friends with damn near half of the current houseguests. Toni keeps in regular contact with so many of the All Stars in part because of her former roommate and because of the career paths so many reality tv stars follow after their series end. Secondly, she did share an apartment with a former Big Brother houseguest and current All Star - Diane Henry. Third, the most important of the 3, she set into play the alliances between various All Stars months before the voting took place to even decide who would be heading back inside the Big Brother house.

But that alone wouldn’t make this a great story, a Jonny Fairplay type of move that will go down in reality tv history. She also began working with others to destroy the person she originally set out to help win Big Brother All Stars.

Confused? Intrigued? Pissed? Read on, as the information I’ve obtained came straight from Toni Ferrari herself.

Toni, her then roommate Diane, and Jase began the “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” plan some time ago. (The plan itself was named by Jase, who has a bit of a Brad Pitt obsession) When word came down that All Stars was becoming a reality, the 3 set the plan into motion. The idea was to recruit the strongest players from the past seasons, even those that intimidated Diane and Jase. Toni, who was never on the show, recognized the strengths of different players and the 3 worked together to pick who would work well as part of a secret alliance. The phone calls began to those players, recruiting the best. Of course, Jase and Diane would wear something to signify their allegiance to the alliance when moving into the Big Brother house. Diane went with the black dress and Jase wanted to wear a black tuxedo, though he was talked out of that obvious move. The “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” plan would be considered successful if Jase and Diane made it as the final 2.

Then things went sour between Diane and Toni. Rather than get into murky waters already explored on Diane’s site, I’ll use Toni’s explanation of what happened. Toni’s side of the story is that there were some problems regarding household bills and responsibilities; therefore the friendship soured. Toni has kept quiet regarding this matter, going as far as to remove her website, and waited. She then put her plan into motion.

Toni decided that maybe someone else should be “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” instead of the two who were already dying to turn on each other. Jase and Diane were both talking of turning on each other via IM and phone any chance they got. So Toni called on her good friends Erika and James, both former and All Star houseguests. From there, the new plan members took over the original plan. Now people Diane and Jase believed were a part of their alliance were always a part of the new alliance, one with stronger people who knew all about the original plan and had a new one ready to go.

Janelle has admitted she talked to Toni on the phone during a moment on the feeds. “Not true,” stated Toni, “She didn’t talk to me but I did set up the phone call.” It wasn’t Diane though, as Diane is petrified of Janelle. But to hear Diane talk about Janelle is a different story. Diane has been rather blatant in her desire to want Janelle out of the house and wants to take all the credit for it despite being afraid of her. When asked who she would like to see win the game, she would like to see, “Erika and James because they are real friends.” She’s only asked for one thing for her help from those who will benefit; she wants 3 simple words said. While Diane is a good player, Toni feels she will be eliminated at some point. When Diane is evicted from the house, she wants James or Erika to say, “Toni says hi.”

Cold, perhaps, but there is no love lost between these two women and obviously that’s for a good reason. Toni has this to say about the rest: “The last thing I wanted to do was hurt or screw over Jase or Nakomis. I had fun at the auditions for Kill Reality with Jase. I’ve never met Nakomis but she’s a smart player and a nice person. I want Diane’s head on a platter. She’s going to talk all kind of ***** about me and I’m not going to get the chance to rebut any of it at all? I made a phone call - just one phone call. My loyalities lie to my real friends - like Erika and James. But I specifically wanted to get the one person who scared the hell out of Diane in general and that’s Janelle."

As for Toni, she’s been staying out of the reality game until now. She’s moved away from all the action and is working hard off screen, which is how she likes it. She didn’t know her name was brought up until I wrote her an email. The plan itself was created, as she reminded me many times, to help out a friend in need. When that friend was no longer her friend, she decided to help the most deserving person in her eyes.

Despite how you feel about this whole thing, it could be the best preshow setup since the “dead grandma” bit pulled by Jonny Fairplay on Survivor. This took serious planning, studying, scheming, and the work of some dedicated Big Brother houseguests who didn’t even know if they’d be on the show until shortly before they moved in. Add in that the plan was conceived by someone who isn’t even on the show, never has appeared on the show, and has no vested interest except to help friends win and the “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” plan falls nothing short of brilliant.

Who knows what will happen once the houseguests began to let on about their alliances or those who have left begin to read about what was set up before they even stepped through those Big Brother doors. I know I’ll be watching even more now, if that’s possible.

To think CBS named last summer’s Big Brother season the “Summer of Secrets.’ I do believe this season deserved the name from the minute Toni got involved.

I saw the postings on the previous thread. But he is an IDIOT!! He got kicked out last year, was lucky to get back in, and then was lied to and lost. Why does he trust Will and Boogie? He should have learned not to trust liars. I can only hope they are going to back door Will thru POV. While Nikomis is smart, she does not have alot of power in the house, no natural allies. I am about to reassess my opinion about Kaysar. He seems to be not as smart as I thought.

Janelle has won this season's first Power of Veto competition. You can bet she won't use the veto to save either Ali or Dani. But you can expect both to try and persuade her. Ali will try a lot harder. It won't make any difference.

The houseguests have been talking about how disgusting the competition was. It evidently involved fish chum and "Clam Sundaes". Ali is telling everybody that will listen that she stinks. So far no one has disagreed with her. They all spend it good deal of time in the showers. And complain afterwards that they still stink.

Ali may have been injured during the competition. Dr. Will tells her to use ice on her face. He says it may bruise.

In a conversation between Kaysar and Janelle he says, "We are safe" and she replies "Jedi Janie did it!" But she worries that they will all be after her next week.

Ali is very pissed that she did not win. She may have come close. She does have reason to worry as Jason and Janelle have decided that it should be Ali that goes. Janelle telling him that "Ali scares me."

So who will be evicted? A lot can and will happen in the house between now and the vote, but if you want me to guess right now; Ali is toasted, roasted, fricasseed, fried, and oh-so-done.

I won't miss her.

What happens to reality TV stars when the show ends? At first, they are stars and followed by their fans. Unless they continue to get television and radio airtime, that image fades. As seen on the internet, here are the web vapor trails of the first cast, Big Brother 2000.

She had a brief radio show during 2000 in Minneapolis on The Point, 104.1 and Jean was featured in The Minneapolis Star's Sunday magazine. She wrote her memoirs of the TV show on www.nerve.com. JOSH SOUZA www.joshsouza.com/ still operates. Josh came in second on the show, winning $100,000. He had an internet radio inspirational interview show. He has appeared as a guest contestant on reality's Blind Date and was interviewed for a Entertainment Magazine's discussion on what happens to reality show contestants after a show ends.

CURTIS KIN www.geocities.com/curtiskinfan/ is blank. www.geocities.com/everlastinglaughter/ last updated July 2001. www.geocities.com/bigbrotherfansite/curtisbio.html has a picture. Curtis came in third on the show winning $50,000, but George's show winnings, though not in cash, were worth more. Curtis emceed or appeared in Asian American entertainment awards ceremonies. He works as a government attorney.

BRITTANY PETROS www.brittanypetros.com not longer exists. www.isnanchordesk.com/autos/bpetros.html has a picture. She hosted internet radio and AOL live chats and an online music show. Participated in the U.S. "anti-drug" campaign. Spoke at the now-defunct Seminar Center discussion of Big Brother 2000.

JAMIE KERN www.praisejamie.com/ is current. The message board has two messages during 2003. Participated in the U.S. "anti-drug" campaign. Rumor has it she is in graduate school.

WILLIAM COLLINS www.willmega.com and willmegaspeaks.com (same content) working but not updated. www.hiram42.homestead.com not working. Had a talk show in Philadelphia's WURD 900 am Friday evenings 8pm-10pm. Appeared on the Sally Jessy Raphael Show about reality contestants. Spoke at the now-defunct Seminar Center discussion of Big Brother 2000.

GEORGE BOSWELL not to be confused with the Japanese band, henhouse locking device, restaurant, or U.S. DJ/mixmaster, Chicken George. www.chickengeorgecentral.com no longer exists. The fansite, www.geocities.com/savegeorge/ still is active. www.geocities.com/george4me/ is still active as well. George won a large prize on Big Brother, a four-year scholarship to Southern Vermont College for one of his daughters.

George appears every Sunday at the Chicago Improv Olympics, www.improvolymp.com/teams.html. He appeared on "Street Smart" as a contestant with Monica from Big Brother 2. He spoke at the now-defunct Seminar Center discussion of Big Brother 2000. George appeared on the Sally Jessy Raphael Show about reality contestants with Will "Mega" Collins. Also, George provided commentary for Big Brother 2 for TV's Inside Edition and for France's Canal +. Entertainment Weekly chose George as the focus of its article on the lives of former reality show contestants--including a one-page photo. He quit the roofing business.

EDDIE McGEE, who won the show and $500,000. He has a site at www.eddieland.com not updated since 7/6/02. He appeared on Hollywood Squares with Whoopi Goldberg. Spoke at the now-defunct Seminar Center discussion of Big Brother 2000.

CASSANDRA WALDRON. No website. In 2002, spoke at a Saturday "Blacks in Technology" symposium (sponsored by Microsoft). The series included conferences in Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York. I think Will was the BEST player ever on BIg Brother. He must come back. Actually it would be interesting to see him in the house with Janelle who I would say played the game pretty awesome too. But anyone who missed Will the first time - the guy is just an incredible player. And it doesn't hurt that he is GORGEOUS. But I loved that he just shook anyone's hand that offered and said "sure I'll be in an alliance with you". Then he would tell anyone who asked that "hell ya I'm going to lie during this show. I can't be trusted." And he couldn't. He rocks!!!! Vote for WILL!!!!
- I think him, Jase, Janelle, Howie and Kayssar would rock in the house...

All-Star ''Big Brother'': It's on!

All-star ''Big Brother'': It's on! The CBS reality show will welcome back past contestants -- selected by viewers -- for this summer's season 7 by Lynette Rice of Entertainment Weekly

Paging Dr. Kirby, Chicken George, and the faaaabulous Marcellas Reynolds! EW has learned that CBS will air an all-star version of Big Brother when it returns for a seventh season this summer. In the current issue of EW, we say who we'd like to see back in the hot tub this summer, but for the first time ever fans will get to choose who participates in the game from a pool of 20 former houseguests (BB6's Kaysar Ridha, stay by your phone!). CBS has yet to announce how or when voting will occur.

So far, the basic rules will remain unchanged for the all-star version: One by one, the houseguests will vote each other out of the house and at the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest will receive $500,000. And yes, Julie Chen will return as host.

I watched yesterday's HouseCalls live broadcast to see what Maggie and Ivette had to say about the culmination of 80 days in the Big Brother House. Earlier, I sat through their disappointing and unenlightening interviews on "The Early Show" and "Regis and Kelly".

The first thing I noticed was that Ivette apparently found out a few things from "Tushy" and has disassociated herself from the friendship as I predicted. She is on the defensive and keeps proclaiming that no one knows what it's like to be inside the house under those conditions. My reply to her argument is multi-fold:

1. Five previous groups of houseguests are fully aware of exactly how it feels and they never sunk to such levels as this group did.
2. You all knew what you were in for and you signed away your rights to privacy of any sort for an opportunity to win $500,000.

3. Not all of the players resorted to vulgar attacks on people outside of the house who were not playing the game, though most allowed themselves to sink pretty low when interacting with their fellow housemates. That part is forgivable and even an expected element of reality show gameplay.

4. This was not "Survivor". You all had many of the comforts of home. You did not go hungry or without water, struggle with extreme weather conditions or other outside elements. The worst you suffered through was lack of privacy and PB and J for a few weeks. Yet, no "survivor" has ever behaved so deplorably.

5. It was your words that condemned you outside the house.As cast members you all had an open forum to display your true characters and no editing or manipulation made you say the words that sealed your fate once you return to the "real" world..

6. I have no criticism of the way you played the game or any behavior you employed in order to win. My only gripe is with the way members of your alliance trashed entire groups of people who had nothing whatsoever to do with the game. Medicaid recipients? Unemployed people? The viewers who support Big Brother and provided a forum for you guys to voice your opinions and have them validated? The millions of people in the hospitality industry (of which you are a part)?

Many of us who started out supporting Ivette and her fellow alliance members respected the way they approached the game. Gradually, we grew to deplore the way they lashed out when disappointed or jealous. That was not a result of being cooped up for 80 days. People survive much harsher terms and conditions and still manage not to display prejudice and ignorance. To blame the game is irrational.

Still, nothing that Ivette did has caused her to be as disliked as Maggie.

All of the players had moments they will regret, but sadly, Maggie still believes she won the game. She showed no remorse on any of these early interviews and when given the opportunity to admit (as Marcellus so aptly suggests) "Mea Culpa" she smiles her bland smile and stares blankly, shrugging off any suggestion of anything but "playing with integrity" being responsible for her taking home the grand prize. She seems to think that by purchasing gifts for her teammates who shouldered her way to the top, she will atone for any sin she may have committed in the house. I wonder if a weekend of revelations will open her eyes? Frankly I doubt it, but we will have the opportunity to find out on Monday.

I encourage everyone to tune in to HouseCalls on CBS.com Monday at 1pm ET (Start calling in at least an hour before (323-227-1000) At that time the houseguests will reunite for a "Town Hall" to answer further questions after having viewed all the tapes, read the live-feed transcripts and witnessing first-hand all of the transgressions carried out by themselves and their fellow housemates (They may even read a few articles posted on the net )

You can bet a few of them will be trying to get out of making that appearance.

This edition of HouseCalls has the potential.....

Everyone knows that it is possible to influence the outcome of a reality series without crossing the line into something that could be defined as cheating or illegal. A little shady, maybe, but since Survivor first broke this new ground it has become a fact of life that producers are entitled to do anything in their power to insure that the final decision of any competition series suits their needs. After all, they are footing the bill. The only thing they owe the viewer is (hopefully) an entertaining diversion - a good premise, interesting cast, fresh, exciting challenges and/or controversy. Series like American Idol, Project Runway, Top Model, and Nashville Star, Making the Band etc. that culminate with a winner who will continue to be marketed and managed, are the ones that carry the most disclaimers. Let's face it; future earnings of those with a stake in the series, along with the winner, depend on finding the most viable candidate - not always the most popular. Sometimes it is blatantly evident that "the fix is in"; at other times, the signs are subtler.
We can rant on the boards and in letters to the networks all we want. As long as there are shows where the final winner is determined by a vote, rather than based exclusively on the results of challenges and performances where the outcome could not possibly be predetermined, producers will be free to influence public opinion.

Editing is solely at the producer's discretion. Competitions can be designed to favor one contestant over another. Those who manage the day-to-day operations are well aware of the strengths and weaknesses of each player and the "unscripted" action can always be directed to feature a particular player or unfolding story that is generating unforeseen interest. Dissention can be instigated. Cast members can be shown in any light - hero, villain (or in Howie's case, idiot) Many situations are misrepresented through clever editing. Diary Room entries can be presented to imply all sorts of misconceptions. Viewers are not privy to the leading questions and many times they can be lead to believe that animosity or contempt exist where there is simply fatigue or momentary frustration. Anyone who doubts that the entire course of a season is carefully orchestrated is out of touch with reality - literally.

The greater reality at work here is the fans. They have taken a liking to Kaysar and refused to be swayed by any subliminal messages or technical glitches (however convenient). They are a force to be reckoned with. If I shook a few people out of their stupor with my conspiracy theory, I feel vindicated. Anyone with half a brain could comprehend that my intention was not to support Eric - or disparage Kaysar. He had been the favorite for my household since the beginning and it was frustrating to realize that he might fall victim to some misguided manipulation. I should not have referred to him as "an Iraqi"; he is an American of Iraqi decent. I was speaking of the perception that was being promoted against the backdrop of Eric's representation of the PERCEPTION of the American hero. I am not a bigot or anti-Muslim. Ivette is a Cuban lesbian; Beau is African-American and homosexual; Howie is a Vulcan weatherman. I didn't create the labels. Hey - I have been called an "idiot...famewhore" (see my message below) and I'm not crying prejudice!

In addition to the messages supporting Kaysar, I did receive several threats (to my reputation and well-being) from Eric's supporters. They object to my mentioning his Napoleonic Complex - probably because they're not quite sure what it means - but trust me, he has one. I added these to my file labeled "Lunatic Fringe" along with my collection of hate mail from "Hotti Gotti" supporters (most of these write in all caps and have never heard of spell-check) and death threats from fans of American Idol contestant Constantine Maroulis (you call a guy "smarmy" one time and suddenly you find a target on your back!) I read these whenever I need a good laugh. Speaking of spell-check, one reader pointed out that I misspelled the name of the houseguest who was allowed back in Season 3 after competing against three other evictees. Sorry Amy - my memory is slipping. I know there was an "Aimee" on one of the shows I wrote about...

The producers certainly achieved their goal of shaking things up. The tapes that aired on Saturday night with pleas from each of the contenders reflected the shift in favoritism. Kaysar appeared composed, humble and articulate. Having some time to contemplate without all of the distractions of the household obviously recharged his batteries and he is ready to bring on his "A" game. Michael was charming and completely forgettable. Eric seemed self-assured, smug and made an inane plea to be allowed to return so he could have a little excitement in his life - the guy's a firefighter in LAS VEGAS and has a family. How much more excitement does he want? There goes that Napoleon Complex - the need to control and conquer appears to have blinded him to what is really important. He lost hero points right there. If (When) Kaysar returns you can be sure he won't make the same mistakes that cost him the first time. He is very clever. He simply needed time to center himself in order to renew his determination and focus.

In answer to the question I posed on Friday "Will it really be America's choice?" the answer is "It better be!"

Hopefully, the best interests of all concerned will be served by allowing the fans to have their say.

From what I have seen and heard, America is saying "Kaysar all the way!"

Just a quick note:
I was delighted to discover that certain individuals who post on message boards and in forums have elevated themselves "journalists". In response to my America's Choice piece someone wrote:

" Meilinger is known as an idiot in the journalistic circles. She is one of those who makes up stories to spawn controversy. Do not pay attention to the famewhore behind the curtain....."

That's ok - as long as I am being judged by my peers (idiots - not journalists) I have never been deluded enough to consider the open discussion of reality television shows "Journalism" I doubt the New York Times is clamoring for any of us to join their staff.

Seems I may have ruffled a few feathers - or should that be scratched a few scales?

To set the record straight, reality TV is a mild diversion - not high art; writing about it is a pastime - not a calling. It's a folly on the outer fringe of the entertainment industry and most importantly it's all a matter of opinion. When it comes to making up stories - that's where I make the big bucks. I don't waste them in recaps but I'm flattered that someone remembered my "byline". Fortunately, I never have to make things up when I cover these shows. Reality TV provides enough fodder for controversy. They don't need my help. Maybe I make a few mistakes along the way, that's part of the fun, otherwise these people would have nothing to gloat about.

We all live in alternate realities - mine is just a little more fun than most!

To think CBS will hand over money to one of the final two wenches is very disturbing. I have seen the live feeds and feel outraged that these girls, among others in the "friendship" who have basically ripped the viewers of America apart will be rewarded for playing a "good game" ! TO insult the American viewers of BIG BROTHER by saying "f**K you to AMERICA" and to call US unemployed, uneducated etc upsets me greatly to see them get money. CBS should pull another TWIST and have the public vote to give the extra money to someone who had fun with the game and knew how to behave when entering the BB house. These girls were special to be chosen and to make a mockery of the game and the viewers is sooo upsetting... BB lost a fan !

Oh my gosh! April saying she is the "girl version of Howie" Please she the anti Howie! I can't stand her!

I loved it when April was bitching about J winning America's Choice and saying she NEVER said she hated anyone in the house. And then they flashed back to a bunch of times when she said she hated....awesome moment!

Maggie only got into the hate a little bit. Otherwise it mostly A & I.

Jan asking them to spend the night up in the HOH room...oh my gosh!

But the grossest moment for me was listening to April talk about how horny she was and how she was going to have sex with her husband. And where they have done it .... GAG ME!!

Houseguests you are now at the 6 hour mark. That brings us to the midnight hour, so the PB&J's can now eat. The storage room is full of food.

12:19 AM BBT - Beau is out- BB says his knee touched the ground - he opens a box - and it's the Martini bar - he has to remain inside until 2 other house guests take their fingers off the button.

1:06 AM BBT - Janelle is out - she swears she did not take her finger out- but BB says she it out- she picks the red box and it contains something she is very happy about - the 42 inch Plaza TV - she is now drinking with Beau who is on his 3rd or 4th drink now.

2:22 AM BBT - April out - she picks a box and gets $3,000

2:43 AM BBT - Howie- HG From this moment on, I am going to go to one guest at a time, you will have to pick one hand to use for the remainder of the game - they all pick and hand and continue.

I am getting fearful, as should the "friendship" be the only viable group in the house. I will probably stop watching the show. It was interesting to see Maggie working. She is very smart, and the group, who seems to love a leader, eats up her every word.
She is smart, but she is in control. Other than Ivette, there is not much of interest to the other people who will be left on her team.

Even tho Eric was a strong Dem, he had a political discussion with James, who is Republican, and I am gay and might like to root for Ivette and whatshisname, I think anyone with any intelligence,(meaning most of the tribe.net people) would be for Kaysar and Janelle and Howie. My thoughts are if she puts up Janelle and Kaysars "TEAM" wants to keep him around they'd vote off Janelle.. But that's 4 votes JAMES SARAH HOWIE AND RACHEL ... If the otherside decides to vote off Kaysar that's also 4 Votes Jennifer , April Beu & Ivette so that would force a tie and as far as I remember in a tie then the HOH decides who goes home and more than likely that would be Kaysar...

Squares with numbers Question

Ok, so the round coasters were square and they found a
FEW with numbers. I saw 2 of them...one had on 24 ->
but the one lady...was ALSO holding a blue one that had an 8 -> & the arrow.

So my question when they worked on the 24 right away found what the needed why the heck did no on follow up with the 8 tile?? It seems to me to have to be more clues.

CBS reality roomie's resume includes theft and DWI arrests

JULY 21--Days before the sixth-season debut of "Big Brother," a contestant on the CBS reality show finally answered a 3-1/2-year-old arrest warrant issued for her failure to appear in a Los Angeles court to face a misdemeanor theft charge. Janelle Pierzina, a 25-year-old cocktail waitress, was charged in December 2001 with stealing merchandise from Macy's. But when she didn't show for an initial court appearance, a Superior Court judge issued a bench warrant for Pierzina's arrest. Six months later, a second bench warrant was issued. In April 2004, a third bench warrant was issued, with a judge this time setting the warrant's bond at $30,000, up from $2500.

On June 24--two weeks before "Big Brother 6" bowed--Pierzina pleaded to the petty theft rap and was fined $982 and ordered to stay at least 100 yards from the retailer. Who says a crass reality TV series can't serve the public good? Pierzina's rap sheet also includes an August 2000 drunk driving arrest in Duluth, Minnesota (her mug shot from that bust is below). After initially failing to appear for her February 2001 arraignment (which resulted in another pesky beach warrant being issued for her), Pierzina pleaded in June 2002 to a misdemeanor DWI count and was hit with a 60-day suspended jail term, placed on a year's probation, fined $1000, and directed to enroll in an alcohol education program. When Pierzina failed to timely complete the booze ed course, a June 2003 violation of probation hearing was scheduled. When she did not show for that court session, a District Court judge signed a bench warrant for her arrest. More than a year later, on June 30, 2004, the warrant was vacated when Pierzina finally appeared for a court hearing that ended with Judge Gerald Maher extending her probation for six months and ordering Pierzina (again) to attend an alcohol education program. Pierzina, who apparently completed that program in North Carolina, has since decamped to Miami Beach, where, according to the CBS web site, she toils as a "VIP cocktail waitress."

Eric is trying so hard to get a guy alliance going, I think his partner must be a chick. Could it be Ivette? It Starts

A Friend watched the first episode and said he didnt care for BB. But I watched it, I tape and watch when I can, and loved how at first everyone was so lovely dovey, toasting with Champagne, etc. Then they get a simple task, to divide in 2 and immediately the dynamic changes. People who were getting to know one another are now enemies, just because they were on one couch vs another. Hunky little Eric, getting the guys together, in a very unsutle way-- or at least trying to.

I usually feel sorry for the first 2 chosen, as no one really knows them, and it is based in such rediculous reasons. This is certianly the case this time. I hope Kaysar makes it, as it will be interesting to see him interact with the group. The women all seem the same to me, so its nice to get a guy like him in the group.

One such surprise is a new two-storey house for the “hamsters” to play in.
The set used through the first five series was demolished after season five wrapped and was replaced by an office building.
The new two-storey house, with a more loft-style layout has been constructed on former “Yes Dear” studio space and will once again house a myriad of camera’s to catch shots for the television show and the 24 hour live feeds.
The house will as usual have a back yard and will feature a swimming pool almost twice the size of that at the previous set for those essential bikini shots. <snip>

I think there's going to be a "Big Brother All-Stars" show soon, and here's why. CBS tore down the old house set and they're building a new one that's supposed to be two stories and really cool. Having a new house would make the show new for those of us who have been on the show, so it's a perfect time to have an "All-Stars"! I feel like the "Big Brother" fans are waiting to see an "All-Stars", and the production company has one year left with CBS. Also, the "Big Brother 6" auditions have been taken off the web site. <snip>
